Business Initiatives Development Workshop

Your Professional Certification Program and training programs must provide value to your certificants and students.  But do they provide value to your organization?  Are your certification and training programs aligned with your organization's primary business initiatives?  Are you targeting the appropriate certification candidates and students?  How do you measure the value of certification and training to your organization's success?

The Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop can help you answer these questions.  Using the proven Minds in Action workshop methodology, your business process owners will identify the key business initiatives that contribute to your organization's success.  With this information, your organization's experts will document the goals and objectives that guide your organization's success.  Performance benchmarks for each of your business initiatives will be identified and criteria used to measure your progress in attaining your goals and objectives will be established.  Finally, your business process owners will document the tasks required to accomplish your goals and objectives and identify the personnel most critical to the success of your organization's business initiatives.  Under the guidance of an experienced Minds in Action facilitator, you will be able to accomplish all of this in only three days!

Overview:

The Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop is a three-day workshop facilitated by an experienced Minds in Action facilitator.  The workshop is composed of 12 to 21 of your business process owners, who will perform a thorough analysis of their business responsibilities using processes and guidance provided by the Minds in Action facilitator.  During the Business Initiatives Development Workshop, participants will perform the following activities:

Purpose:

The Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop is designed for organizations that wish to better understand their goals and objectives, measure their business success, and target the appropriate professions for inclusion into their Professional Certification and training programs.  The Business Initiatives Development Workshop may be used for:

Defining Professional Certification Program Job Roles.  Professional Certification Programs must provide value to your certificants and the general public.  But your Professional Certification Programs must also provide value to your organization.  The results of the Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop may be used to define the job roles and professions that best contribute to the attainment of your goals.  You can significantly increase the success of your organization's initiatives by developing Professional Certification Programs that target the job roles and professions that are most critical to the attainment of your goals and objectives.

Creating Training Programs that Impact your Organization.  Does your training program contribute to the success of your organization?  Are you training the right individuals in your organization?  Do the skills students develop contribute to the attainment of your organization's goals or are they superfluous to your objectives?  By sponsoring a Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop, you can determine which job roles and professions should be targets of your training program, and which groups would realize limited benefits from training.  Using the results of the Business Initiatives Development Workshop, you can ensure that the contents of your training programs match the goals and objectives of your organization.

Measuring the Value of your Professional Certification and Training Programs.  Developing and delivering Professional Certification and training programs can be an expensive proposition.  Does the contribution of these programs exceed the cost of sponsoring them?  With the Minds in Action Business Development Workshop, you can identify performance benchmarks and measure the contribution your Professional Certification and training programs make to your organization.  This allows you to determine the return on investment for your programs so that you can direct your resources towards the Professional Certification and training programs that will positively impact your business.

Understanding and Communicating the Goals and Objectives of your Organization.  Many organizations develop business initiatives but have no way of determining their value to the organization.  During the Minds in Action Business Initiatives Development Workshop, you will not only define your business initiatives - you will establish the criteria needed to successfully execute the initiatives and measure their value to your organization.  This allows you to determine which initiatives are worth pursuing and provides a mechanism to communicate the value of the business initiatives to others.
